Education

I lead seminars on a wide range of topics including:

the pathophysiology of anxiety and depression, the non-pharmacological management of these conditions, understanding the nature of and recovering from narcissistic abuse, combating codependency, co-creating healthy relationship dynamics, and mindfulness.

I am an eclectic healer of individuals and systems.

I have been educated as a musician (UNC-Chapel Hill, 2005), a therapist (UNC-Greensboro, 2007) and a nurse (Duke University, (2019). I've assisted laboring women and supported their newborns in homes; I've guided patients and their families through death as a hospice nurse. I've been trained in yoga for behavioral health, breathwork and somatic therapies (2014-2018). I've dappled in sound healing and meditation. I am a trauma professional. I maintain a personal practice of healing and believe in the wisdom of passing to others the depth and breadth of healing tools I've gained on my journey.

I tend heavily toward Systems Theories, Cognitive Behavioral Theory (CBT), and person-centered and somatic approaches. Providing education and compassionate support to others is at the heart of what I do.

Ultimately, however, I will meet YOU where you are.
